My vision is to inspire as many people as possible with fine food and make them think. I consider it a great gift when I succeed in this.
So far, all my guests have been completely surprised and delighted by how great vegetarian, vegan or raw food can taste. Unfortunately, many people still think of salad and carrot sticks, ideally with a dip, when they think of raw food. For me, discovering raw vegan food was like being whisked away to a new world of pleasure .
A long road
As a trained decorator and commercial artist, I always thought cooking was “stupid”. I used to only ever notice fat chefs. And who wants to get fat? It wasn’t until the birth of my daughter, or rather during my pregnancy, that I started to think seriously about nutrition. I have been a vegetarian for around 30 years now. And it was only about 12 years ago that I ended up vegan via the raw food diet.
A cookbook without pictures
In the meantime, I tried a few things, from Ayurveda to low carb, but nothing really appealed to me. During this time, I trained as a nutritionist. Then a graphic designer friend of mine gave me Dr. Switzer’s first book. I didn’t want to accept it at first because it was a recipe book without pictures and I found that impossible. But I don’t know why, I started reading and couldn’t stop. It was simply exciting, it was the first time I had read about the tremendous power of wild herbs. It just blew me away. And since I’ve always had a terrible sweet tooth, the first recipe I tried was of course “Dr. Switzer’s raw food chocolate cake”. And this convinced me that if healthy is this good, then I was on the right track.
Raw food – my WOW experience
That’s how I came across Gisela Bayer from Bremen. When I saw her raw food creations on her website, my heart leapt for joy. I wanted to be able to make something like that. So I immediately booked an intensive raw food workshop with her, followed by more workshops.
In the meantime, I have added many more courses and seminars on the subject of nutrition and health and I really enjoy passing on my knowledge to interested people.I was still able to run a few raw food workshops in Munich. Now I offer raw food workshops with a vacation feeling here in Andalusia on our beautiful finca.
